OVERVIEW OF VIRGINIA GOLD
Virginia Gold was designed to implement quality improvement strategies including enhancing supportive workplace environments in order to increase retention of certified nursing assistants (CNA’s) employed by nursing facilities. Five Virginia nursing facilities were chosen to work on proposed plans to meet the goals of the Virginia Gold program. The Virginia Gold program effective dates for the two year grant were September 1, 2009 through August 31, 2011.
The four DMAS reports on the Virginia Gold program include the first year and second year/final program reports and the policy staff evaluation reports as listed below.
