H1N1 Vaccine
The Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) and its Managed Care Organizations will cover and pay for the H1N1 vaccine the same as any other vaccine that is covered and paid for today. In addition, DMAS will follow the Centers for Disease Control guidelines for determining medical necessity when authorizing and paying for screenings associated with the H1N1 infection. The process used by providers for reimbursement will not change.
