Rehabilitation services both inpatient and outpatient, are  covered services available to the entire Medicaid population. DMAS provides coverage under two major programs. The two major programs include intensive rehabilitation and CORF (Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility), and outpatient rehabilitation. Rehabilitation services are medically prescribed treatment for improving or restoring functions which have been impaired by illness or injury or, where function has been permanently lost or reduced by illness or injury, to improve the recipient’s ability to perform those tasks required for independent functioning.
