Treatment Foster Care (TFC) Case Management Services: Treatment Foster Care Case Management is a program designed to address the special needs of children and their families when those needs can be met through services delivered primarily by treatment foster parents who receive training, supervision and support. This is a community based treatment option. Treatment is primarily home-based, planned by a treatment foster care case manager and delivered by a treatment team. The Department of Medical Assistance Services provides ongoing training to local Comprehensive Services Act teams on the procedures for use of Medicaid for residential treatment and treatment foster care services, including, but not limited to, procedures for determining eligibility, services, billing, reimbursement and related reporting requirements. These presentations reflect recent training sessions held across the Commonwealth for providers of this type of service(s).
