Virginia Premier will become part of Optima Health as of July 1, 2023. If you have Virginia Premier as your Medicaid managed care health plan, you will receive information from Optima Health as your new managed care provider. This change will not impact your health benefits or coverage.
New Enrollment Site and Helpline for CCC Plus Medicaid Members

As of June 1, 2023, CCCPlusva.com will automatically redirect members to the new website going forward.
Changes in Open Enrollment Dates
The dates of open enrollment are changing for all Commonwealth Coordinated Care Plus (CCC Plus) members. Starting in 2023, your open enrollment dates depend on where you live.
Choose the Plan That's Right for You and Your Baby
Once you apply and receive an official notice of enrollment from Virginia, including a Medicaid card, it’s time to select your health plan. A health plan is managed by a private insurance company with a network of doctors and other medical providers working together to give you comprehensive health care. This may also be referred to as a Managed Care Organization, or MCO.
Medicaid Benefits: We've Got You Covered!
Your Cardinal Care Medicaid health coverage offers many benefits and services. The complete list of benefits is located in your Member Handbook on your health plan's website. Your Member Handbook is a great tool to help answer many of your questions. The following are just a few of your covered Medicaid services:
What to Expect on Your First Prenatal Visit
It’s important to schedule a visit to the doctor as soon as you know that you are pregnant. Common first-time visits to the doctor often include questions regarding your medical history, along with initial tests and planning.
Use Adult Preventive Services Today
Did you know that all adult Virginia Medicaid members have coverage for preventive services such as screenings, check-ups and counseling support? These services can help keep you healthy, and identify areas for improvement before they become an issue.
Know Your Basic Health Benefits
Your Virginia Medicaid coverage includes many basic health benefits. While some plans offer additional services, it’s important to know the benefits that are covered under any plan you choose.
Open Enrollment Season Begins This Month
Having a health care plan that meets your needs is important. Some Medallion members are now able to choose their health plan for the year ahead.
Once You Have a Plan, You Need a Doctor
Once you select your health plan, it’s time to choose your primary care provider (PCP). A PCP is your doctor who provides most of the health care you will need. Your PCP may also refer you to other providers for more specialized care.
